Originally called Beltaine, Wokenbywire had existed for 6 years and in that time one could never pin them down. The decision to change the band's name had to do with the arrival of a new drummer in 1997 and the desire to discard old preconceptions and baggage. With Dan on drums the band blossomed into something awe-inspiring, a mix of up-tempo melodious rock combined with a sharp edge. Members have since gone on to be in bands like: Vincibus Eruptum, Chinese Stars, Anton bordman & Sidewinder.
