The Eyesores originally formed in 1997 originally as an outlet for Alec's singer/songwriter. but has since developed into something far more twisted and epic. EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF AND GOD AGAINST ALL is the bands third official release and is by far their best offering to date. The band has gone through many shapes and forms such as being: a chamber trio or quartet with accordion and strings, and as a big band with strings, guitars, drums,electronics, brass, and hurdy- gurdies, and sometimes just Alec solo, singing and playing accordion. The band has also accompanied theater and dance troupes such as the Everett Dance Theater and has worked with Providence independent film director Laura Colella (who coincidentally co-wrote a song on the new record).

The Eyesores currently consist of Alec(accordion and vocals), Margie Wienk (aka FERN KNIGHT- upright bass, cello and vocals), Matt Everett (viola), Alec Thibodeau(electric guitar,AM radio, Alec is also the creator of NONEY), Matt McLaren (drums-member of BARNACLED & The DETERRENTS) Sara Stalnaker(cello), Ann Schattle(french horn-member of BARNACLED), Erica Schattle(bassoon) Chris Saraullo(percussion), Jason McGIll(alto sax, percussion, short wave radio).

The EYESORES could be compared to a mix of a way more personable version of The RACHELS, ABC's, a funeral dirge & klezmer music. The kids just got back from a really well received third European Tour (accompanied by FERN KNIGHT). They plan on heading out in the U.S. this coming winter, and then back to Europe in the spring. They are prolific, painfully honest as well as completely infectious.
